Upon demobilization Charlie went to Loughborough College in Leicestershire, England where for three years he was Entertainment Secretary and studying to be a teacher in his spare time. He graduated, eventually. See a sentimental visit after 54 years.

In 1940 Charlie was at Bablake School Coventry during the blitz and his house was destroyed as was the Cathedral. In 1955 they were living in Coventry where son Digby was born. Charlie was now teaching at his old School, Bablake. Listen to the School Song before your visit.

Charlie's father, Henry Arthur Cook, was a well known musician in England. In 1926 he played in the London Metropolitan Police Dance Band but went on to win many solo bass contests and conduct a brass band.

A month in England and France during August gave us great memories and a chance to see Uncle Frank again. New York, Southhampton, London, Nottingham, Honfleur plus 1,000 miles in a rented car were on the list. See Molly water her garden first. (be patient)
