Martyn Taylor sent two wonderful pictures of a performance of a mediaeval guild play about the Crucifixion presented by Bablake pupils in 1957. Martyn plays Pontius Pilate cast by Gabby Hayes. Ingram is a Pharisee and Billy Budd a Roman soldier. The second photo includes the usual suspects and Ken Sleeman is a centurion. The spirit of Seaborne is present in his chair. Martyn tells me that he gave up smoking 43 years, 11 months and 15 days ago, but he does not miss it.
