A wet Roger Nixon in Hunstanton 1953

Roger Nixon (Hob) was in Shell Z with Roger Worrod in 1950. Roger was about average in 'arts', rather below in Maths and Sciences but he excelled in whatever aspect of art that he did. He excelled in technical drawing with Ted Leeson; maps with Pop Curt in History and Mr Moretti in Geography. Rowland Beard very much appreciated his work. Trevor Goodman taught him art for the last two years and gave him a whole new dimension to his talent. He left after taking his O levels
.
After working at Armstrong Siddeley, he went to London where he and Roger Worrod planned an animated film of "The Sword in the Stone". "Where's Merlin" and "Knight Hob" below are samples of the sketches he did for that project. Roger Worrod organized an exhibition of his cartoons at the The Umbrella Club on Little Park Street and he has provided some samples.
Roger Nixon, now retired, lives in Nuneaton.
